The Rua Nova do Carvalho is located in the center of Lisbon in the district of Cais do Sodré. She is better known as Pink Street because of the pink color of its ground. It is famous for its very festive side with many themed bars and nightclubs.
A completely new image for the district
For many years, this street welcomed people with dubious intentions. It was a place of poor reputation because it was mostly frequented by criminals and prostitutes.
It was only in 2011, with a renovation and modernization project, it gave way to new bars and music clubs. From there, things change and the street begins to be more and more popular with young Lisbon’s residents but especially tourists from all over the world who come to enjoy the good festive atmosphere.
